I thought I would introduce myself a little bit - I’m Efe, a wife to an absolutely loving man from the southern part of Africa, a Mum to three adorable cute cuddly kids, a lawyer and an everyday woman from Lagos (oops I forgot to add - and a hoarder of beauty products !)

 

My educational background is in Law and Social Works, however my love for the world of beauty sucked me right in and I worked as a Beauty Consultant in the UK for a few years after graduation. Moved back home and started my own Natural & Organic Skincare line Couvrez Organic Skincare in 2009 (since rebranded to Amani Organic Skincare) plus I also absolutely love baking for my kids as a hobby baker, it is my own form of therapy!

 

I am obsessed with Skincare and of course the use of natural ingredients in making your own skincare products because it totally works! I LOVE LOVE LOVE anything pertaining to green and clean beauty!  You’ve come to the right place if you are looking to DITCH THE TOXINS in your beauty products! The main purpose of this blog is to show and educate you on the benefits of using clean and natural based beauty products as they go a long way in maintaining and indeed the rejuvenation of the skin.

I have been making my own skin care products for over 11 years now.   As I went deeper into my research, the more intrigued I became with the scary side of the beauty industry. The recipes I share have been tried and tested by me and I absolutely cannot wait to take you on this incredible journey with me where for the first time I am sharing my recipes, tips, tricks and of course my best makeup looks!

Basically, this blog is supposed to be fun and informative, not just for me of course, but mainly for all of you! ;)  In addition, I have a small YouTube Channel, dedicated to my raving passion for all thing diy hair, diy skincare recipes, makeup tutorials and beauty routines @ Efe's Beauty Kitchen!
